Not including today, I have 101 days until I depart for Carlow, Ireland. That sounds like a lifetime away due to my excitement, however I know it will be here before I know it. Maybe I should start a countdown on my whiteboard...
I finally designed a look I think I like for this blog. That is until I get my own picture to use as the background. (I stole this one from http://www.andymcinroy.com/ir333.htm ) I can not wait to get there myself and use my own photographs for things like this. That will be so cool!
To describe my feelings at the current time would be fairly simplistic. I am anxious, excited, and nervous. I have never really traveled in the United States and this will be my very first trip out of the country. I think my father's anxiety is adding to mine. He is so worried about me and I haven't even left yet! But, that is what good fathers do so I can't complain. Today he even took me out to begin solving any issues he thinks will arise while I am gone, such as notifying my bank/discussing funds and considering cell phone use. I can't wait to actually put all of this planning into action. Why does it feel so far away!!!
Well, if I feel the need to post more before I leave, I will. I am sure I will do something else to remind me of this trip and cause me to be even more excited!
